Caitlyn felt awkward with Liam at the diner. She tried to play it off as no big deal, but having him there, watching her, was weird. She’d never been with anyone who was content to simply sit. The men she knew wanted s*x without much of a connection.
That worked for Caitlyn before, but she wasn’t sure it was something she wanted to go back to. She liked having Liam around. She liked that he paid attention to her, when he wasn’t absorbed in work. And she liked that he wanted to just be in the same space as her.
