5 Caitlyn was silent the rest of the drive to Jeanine’s. She didn’t ask how Liam knew exactly where her friend lived, and she didn’t really want to know. Hearing he was in town to investigate Jeanine’s disappearance was enough to scare Caitlyn into the harsh reality that she was right and something was wrong. Liam parked around the side of Jeanine’s apartment, tucking his SUV out of sight of anyone who drove by. The only noise when they got out was the crickets chirping. And the blood rushing through Caitlyn’s ears. Liam led the way, making impressively quick work of Jeanine’s locked door before letting them into the apartment.
