English signaled to Adam when they heard Caitlyn scream in the garage. They parked their vehicles at the church and moved across the property toward the garage, but when Caitlyn shouted for help, English could barely hold himself back from bursting inside.
They didn’t know where either of them were. They couldn’t risk hurting Caitlyn or Daniel using her as a shield. He knew all that, but it was still almost impossible to stop himself.
When Caitlyn took off running toward the road, English was at the back of the garage, trying to see through the dingy window to get the layout. Adam was circling the front to make sure Daniel didn’t get out that way. And Lorelei was in position behind Daniel’s vehicle, a surprise if Daniel managed to get past Adam and English.
