Thankfully, we survived the crash, but I had a gash on my forehead and Zookana’s right leg was broken. Slowly, I helped Zookana get out of the captain’s chair and gently laid her on the floor, careful not to move her right leg too much. I found a bar in the back of the spacecraft and made a temporary splint for Zookana’s leg. I knew she needed immediate medical attention, so I helped her up, and we exited the spacecraft. Waiting outside were the two human transplants that had shot the mini spacecraft down. They looked like humans from Earth, but I knew they came from a distant galaxy and planet.
