I was born in Durban,Natal, South Africa towards the end of the last war. I have done much travelling and living in various areas of South Africa, Zimbabwe and Swaziland., I decided to write my own stories mostly to friends in letters. I began writing seriously in the year 2000 and thoroughly enjoyed it. My husband who was born in Sarawak to English parents, was my editor and he told me some amazing stories. I have as yet not written books about them yet.
However, one of my favourite authors as a teenager was Barbara Cartland and I think I have taken a feather out of her cap to write my stories.
My stories are lighthearted, with a few sombre moments, a goodie and a baddie and some interesting episodes which usually pertain to South Africa. I spoke fluent Zulu as a child as the little boys from our plantation used to come over and play with me. They showed me how to make vehicles out of oxtail bones and cotton reels. We used to collect insects which we used as cattle.
Today being an artist, I still have a penchant for insects and will save them from drowning and being troden on. I have a great fear of aragniders (spiders), so they don't fall among my insects.
I am now 78 years of age and live alone in a little cottage on a small farm with plenty of birds, a donkey, chickens and my five cats.
I hope you enjoy my novels.
