My brain is a screamfest right now.
Why? Why does Jonathan have to call James?! Now of all times!!
James and I just had a moment… No, no… not a moment! A moment is fleeting.
This was a promise… A promise of a future that I never ever dared to dream of. A future where I am free… A future where I am protected and cherished. A future where I have a man by my side, a man who I cherish with all my heart.

James is amazing. He did not beat around the bushes, but he did not force either… He was sincere and caring. He proposed and listened.
And now Jonathan can easily ruin everything.
Jonathan hates me. He is even worse than Ethan, all high-and-might at respecting the law.
I know he is right. The law exists for a reason. He is right and that is what scares me.
