I have been giving myself a pep talk for two minutes now, standing in front of the sink, looking at my reflection in the mirror.
I do not have too much time. I need to act fast.
I pull my smartphone from my bag and erase all data, resetting it to factory. I don’t want James to go through my personal data nor to go and investigate every contact on my phone. They all already have enough on their plate.
I don’t want Gino to track me either! Big Jake and Ron have this number and this bloodthirsty criminal would not hesitate to torture them until they gave him my number.
Once the reset is completed, I leave the smartphone on the sink, a gift to the next person who gets in.
