I was thrust backward, rocks striking my leg, and I found myself on the ground, weakened and unable to move. The scent of a burning fire soon reached me. Desperate to turn my head and check on Ruby, I discovered my neck remained stiff. Groaning, I attempted to use my elementals, but my hands wouldn't respond.
