Day was turning into night, and Klaus was still in the library. Klaus's mind was deeply immersed in everything Anastasia had told him about Kristofer and Kane. Since Anastasia's departure, Klaus had been sitting on the sofa with his head bowed deeply.
Klaus didn't understand at all. It was as though all his thoughts were now focused on the problems he would face in the future with Kristofer and Kane. However, Klaus still felt unable and unprepared to reveal all the truths he had kept hidden from Kristofer and Kane for years. Klaus felt incapable and unable to do so.
