Chapter 62The next day, Sara and Huxley rested in beach lounges in a shady corner of the Hilton Hawaiian Village lagoon. They kept away from the heavily trafficked tourist area.
Huxley still wore his nose splint. The doctor would remove it in a couple of days. Huxley kept a sun hat pulled down so the splint wouldn't leave a lighter mark across his face should he pick up a tan.
Sara had recovered nicely from the knock to the back of her head. The goose egg had nearly disappeared. The doctor had released her from further care. She had forgotten about the taped finger that took a splinter. She unwrapped it and found it healed, but the ER technician had split the nail and dug deep. The nail was black underneath. She stood a good chance of losing it if it didn't grow out normally.
