Ntoni’s girlfriend
Ntoni’s frequent visits to the new inn did not go unseen. He was well known in the village, many regular customers of the inn worked for Giovanni and would pass unkind remarks about the interest that the boy showed for one of the innkeeper’s daughters.
Mafalda was the middle one of the three sisters whose names Iolanda and Maria, were taken after the real princesses. She was tall and curvy, and all the men going to the inn looked at her. She did not mind their comments and was quite aware of her beauty and would show it off with a confidence that bordered insolence. The first time Ntoni had met her in the square of the village and noticed her confident gait, her voluptuous body which was pleased to be looked at by the passers-by as far as they could see
