Chapter XLIX Agnese The were noises coming from the garage. Luciano read all afternoon and now, as it would often happen to him, he had a strong headache. He got out of his room to go for a ride with his bicycle. A bit of fresh air would do him good. Early in September, just before the sunset, when the sun was not as hot and the colours of the countryside were not as lively, he used to love going off by himself along the way leading to the woods.
