-How is she this morning?-
-She didn’t sleep much during the night. She fell asleep at dawn-
-Was she complaining? –
-No, no. She never complains. She keeps her eyes closed and speaks to herself. She moves her lips and from time to time she says some words a bit louder-
-What did she say?-
-Just a few names. She calls us all….all of us…-
Lucia nodded her head while she was talking. Clara was looking at her hands, they were so bony that it seemed that those big bluish veins were coming out of her skin. Her fingers were swollen and stiff, but her tiny body had kept an unexpected strength.
She was moving around the kitchen that was her realm, since Giulia was sick. Clara thought that she did not know her age
