Chapter 5Dakota The trip to Gettysburg was heavy and long. Very long. Twenty-seven hours of driving on bare, soulless highways that seem to me as sad as I am. We divided into two groups: 3 in the SUV and 3 in the van, furnished with all the latest monitoring equipment. We took turns every 3 hours to change drivers and limit fatigue, but despite this and two nights spent in decent motels, but no more, I feel more exhausted than ever.
