I had barely finished buttoning the last of Tobi’s oversized shirts when the knock came. Sharp. Rhythmic. I didn’t even have time to answer before the door swung open.
“We have a princess to prepare!” Catherine declared as she swept into the room like a storm front, her cheeks flushed with purpose. Prudence trailed behind her with a wheeled rack of garments, followed by a maid carrying a box so ornate it looked like it belonged in a royal vault. Tobi emerged from the bathroom, shirtless and toweling his hair, completely unprepared for the ambush.
