Tobi's POV
“Lila, what have you got for me today?” Father said warmly, leaning in to kiss her cheek.
“A proposal draft I was hoping you had time to review,” she said, unpacking her bag. A handful of crumpled pages tumbled out onto his pristine desk. Where I would’ve earned a glare, he barely blinked—just waited patiently while she sorted herself.
“The Article is eager for a wedding date,” I added, taking a seat across from them. Regretfully—I was stuck here for this one.
“Well, it’s only reasonable,” Father said, stacking Lila’s papers into a neat pile. “You’ve been engaged for quite some time, and there are no further objections from the Alliance.”
Lila’s fingers clacked across her keyboard, finishing the last few slides of her proposal.
