Chapter four ********************************* Everyone looked at Mr Davis. He sneered and put down the newspaper in his hand, walking towards her. "Miss James, you truly live up to your reputation as the flower of journalist ," he said, suddenly reaching out and grabbing her neck, lifting her up to the window. "Do you believe that I can open this window right now and throw you out as fertilizer for the flowers?" Lily was about to speak when the plane suddenly jolted, causing her to stumble into Davis arms. He was momentarily stunned by her softness and fragrance, but quickly regained his composure and looked at her coldly and mockingly. "If Miss James truly understood me, she would know that seduction has never worked on me." Lily couldn't take it anymore and slapped him across the face. Davis face turned black in an instant. How dare she strike him? He was about to tie her up when the flight attendant's panicked voice came from the cockpit. "Mr. Davis, something's wrong! The captain had a heart attack and the plane is out of control!" The plane suddenly stopped jolting and began to plummet. Davis's face changed rapidly. "What about the co-pilot?" "He took the day off today." As the plane continued to fall, Davis was still trying to come up with a plan when the woman he was holding suddenly broke free and headed towards the cockpit. Davis's pupils contracted. "What are you trying to do?" "If you don't want to die, shut up!" Lily said without even looking back. She gritted her teeth and endured the turbulence and descent of the plane, quickly diving into the cockpit, pulling the man who was in pain from the pilot's seat, and then pulling the control lever fiercely. A minute later, the plane was back to its normal flying Lily breathed a sigh of relief and set the plane to autopilot mode. She let go of the control lever and found that her palms were full of sweat. She couldn't help but smile wryly. She had loved aviation since she was a child, so she majored in flight technology in college. If everything went smoothly, she would have become a pilot after graduation. Now, she might even be a captain.Unfortunately, in her sophomore year, an accident damaged her cornea and affected her vision. She had no choice but to switch to a foreign language major. It had been almost seven or eight years since she had touched an airplane, so it was no wonder that her mental toughness had declined a lot compared to before. Hearing footsteps behind her, lily thought it was the flight attendant. She was about to ask him to hurry up and take the pilot to receive first aid, but she didn't expect to see Davis when she turned around. Lily 's face immediately turned cold. "What? Mr. Davis still wants to throw me out? Then I'm afraid this plane will land before me." Unexpectedly, Davis suddenly leaned down. The cockpit of a private plane was not as spacious as that of a commercial plane. With him leaning down like this, the space suddenly became cramped. Lily even had to bend down slightly to avoid physical contact with him. He stared at her face, as if he was looking at her, but also as if he was looking at someone else through her. "Reporter James, if I remember correctly, we have never met before. Why do I feel that you have such a big prejudice against me? Also, do journalists need to know how to fly planes now?" Lily remained expressionless and answered his question with another question, "Mr. Davis, you're too close to me. I can't operate the plane." Davis sneered, "Although I don't know how to fly a plane, I can at least understand English," he glanced at the dashboard and said, "I don't think you need to do anything in autopilot mode, right?" Davis pressed down the throbbing blue veins on his forehead, his face turned black, and he turned and left. Six hours later. It was 2 pm in New York City. The plane slowly landed at New York City Airport, and lily's nerves, which had been tense for six hours, could finally relax. Before getting off the plane, she was still considering what to do if Davis came to trouble her again. Unexpectedly, as soon as she stepped out of the cockpit, she heard him on the phone. "Yeah, I just arrived." "Nuel refuses to eat again?" "Okay, I got it. I'll be there soon." Nuel?. This name was unfamiliar to lily's ear However, judging from Davis's hurried departure, she could guess that it was the child of him and Andrea Lily could no longer control the pain and hatred in her heart. Why was it that her child was born without a father, and even her mother was not around years, While the child of Andrea and him needed to be coaxed even to eat a meal? Just then, her phone in her pocket rang. It was her boss, lilyanswered the call while getting off the plane. "Looks like you've landed? How was the trip? Did you have any arguments with Davis?"her boss asked . Lily remained calm, "No." "Good," ,Then go home and rest first. The colleagues from the News department will hold a welcome dinner for you tonight. I'll send you the time and location later." "Okay." After hanging up the phone, lily took a taxi directly to the Mia's aunt house. On the way, she called the two little ones, but no one answered. She couldn't help but feel strange. The two little ones should have woken up from their nap at this time. Why wouldn't they answer the phone? She called Mia's aunt, but still no one answered. Lily suddenly felt anxious. Could something have happened at home?
