I broke the kiss when I realized that the man, this thief, knows who I was. I pulled out the dagger that I strapped to myself when I have to get out of a sticky situation. And this was one.
“Who are you?” I asked him when I was holding the dagger on his jugular vein when he was putting his hands up. I was looking at him before he smirked at me. I put on some more pressure on the dagger.
“Stop lying. And I swear I will cut your life out of you,” I said as I was looking at him. He sighed before he was shaking his head.
“Now, answer the question, Who. Are. You?!” I hissed at him before he was looking into my eyes. He was not blinking or anything, just stared at me and I was staring into his eyes. With the dim light, it was hard to tell what color it was. Maybe something dark like brown or dark green.
“Take off my mask, Jenny,”
“Stop calling my name,”
“But I thought you wanted the truth. So I am giving you my truth but this is given and take action, Jenny. If I was to unravel my mask, you have to show me your face,” he said as I was looking at him. I was not happy to know that I have to lose something to gain something.
That seems unfair.
“Jenny? Your choice, you want my truth, I want you to reveal your truth,” Hermes said as I was looking at him. I don’t know if I can trust him but there was something familiar in his kiss before.
“Kiss me again,”
“I’m sorry?”
“I want you to kiss me again. For the last time before we unravel our identities. Even though you already know who I was,” I said as I was looking at him. Hermes smirked before he was caressing my cheeks.
“You know, I have been waiting for you for so long to come back,” he whispered to me before he was kissing the s**t out of me. I was holding the dagger but my handle on it was slipping away and with that, it dropped to the ground and I succumbed to this man’s kiss.
He was kissing me as he meant it. He wanted to convey his feelings when I was trying to take advantage of his vulnerability right now.
And I was right. I am vulnerable because he has this power over me, and I was giving it to him.
“Hermes,”
“Jenny,” he said as I was untying the mask that I wanted to know his real face. But something stopped me from doing so as I was licking my lips when Hermes was kissing my jaws and neck.
“Make love to me,” I said to him as he stopped his assaults on my skin and left it. I was opening my eyes before I was looking at this man who was on top of me. I don’t know why but I wanted him to take my virginity before I can confess my real love to Harriet.
Harriet!
I was forgetting that I was waiting for the right man, the one that I have been waiting for to take my virtue but I was giving this man, this thief, my sacred prize. The man was looking at me as if I was being ridiculous.
And maybe I was.
I was blushing when I was trying to get away from him. I think he was right. I was not thinking rationally right now with his kisses and the intoxicating of the mint breath of his. Wait a minute. Mint breaths? Fiery kisses? Hermes?
I think I know who it was on top of me right now.
“Harriet?” I asked before the man was looking at me before he smiled. He was untying the mask that covered his face before I was looking at the electric blue eyes and the hair…well, it was not blond though.
It was brown.
“How do you know it was me? I swear I tried to play my cards right,” I said as I was looking at Harriet before he was releasing the wig that he had on his head. His tousled blond hair was coming into my view before Harriet was trying to untie my mask.
“Stop,” I said as I was looking at him. He arched his eyebrows before I was untying them myself and I let the black mask slipped away from me. Then I was pulling my wig out of the way before my braided hair was on the grass.
“Now, isn’t this better?” He asked me before I was looking at him. I was blinking a few times before I was trying to make sense of this matter.
“So, you’re the new thief?” I asked him before Harriet laughed at me. He was caressing my sides before I was shivering under his touches.
“No, I was trying to catch a glimpse of you but I think I have known it since we first met,” he said as Harriet was looking at me with his electric orbs.
“You mean at the airport?” I asked him as he was smiling.
“If you say so but the real question now, what will you do about this right now?’’ He asked me with a husky voice that made my eyes dilated and my breaths were heavy.
“Hmm, amore?”
“Amore now, are we? Since when I was your love, Hermes?” I asked him as I was arching my eyebrow at him. He laughed before Harriet was shaking his head to me.
“Since I was only PRETENDING to be your girlfriend and fiancée when we met your family?” I asked him before Harriet was chuckling.
“Oh, cara mia. It will be much more than that. And it will be much more after I make you mine,” Harriet said as he was kissing me again. I was taken back but I was happy to know that Harriet knows my secret and he even tried to pursue me from taking the Crown Jewel of Sicily. Then I broke the kiss.
“So, is the Crown Jewel of Sicily is even real in your hand right now?” I asked him before Harriet was taking it out and handed it to me.
“Why don’t you find out?” He asked me as I was taking the gemstone. Okay, it was real as it felt heavy in my arms. I was smiling like an i***t before I threw it away. Harriet was arching his eyebrow at me before I was snaking my arms around his neck.
“I don’t need a gemstone to tell my worth now. I know that you will be sufficient enough,” I whispered to Harriet before he was gulping. I smiled seductively before I was putting my mouth closed to his left ear.
“The offer still stands. I want you to make love to me,” I said as I was looking at Hermes.
My thief.
My lover.
“Now, why don’t you say so? We should not be wasting time then,” Harriet said before he was pulling me up and we were out of the forest until I was back in the castle but this time in the safe and secured space of Hermes’ room.
I think I am the luckiest woman alive right now, literally speaking.
