Light crawled over my skin like a living thing. I blinked hard, trying to force my eyes to make sense of the shapes winding across my forearm. They shifted in slow spirals, threads of silver sinking beneath the surface, then rising again to trace new patterns. It felt like warm fingers dragging along my bones from the inside.
