“This is my problem,” Marcus said again. “I’m not sure what you think you can do.”
“Mr. Helkar, Marcus,” Hannah said, “I appreciate your desire to fix this. I really do. But you can’t think the police will stand by while you jump in and out of this game considering what we’ve already discovered.”
“There just isn’t—”
“People are dying, Marcus. Remember that. This isn’t a game anymore,” she said, staring hard at him to be sure this was sinking in.
