Lawrence shrugged and readily admitted, "Although I was drunk that night, I did have some responsibility. If you're dissatisfied, you can speak directly."
He paused and then added, "If you want compensation, you can ask for it."
Miranda thought, "Compensation, again with the compensation! Did he think that everything could be solved with money?"
Miranda scoffed, her tone full of sarcasm, "Fine, since you want to compensate me, I have only one request."
