Finally, after the long drive, Trick brought the car to a stop in front of the closed garage. His eyes traveled around the front of the beach house and the driveway just like Lorenzo’s, looking for any sign of a threat about to jump out and take another shot at them. As things stood, and as blind as they seemed to be over the whole matter, he wouldn’t have been too surprised if it happened.
