He was too warm. That was the first thought that crossed Trick’s mind when he began to wake up that morning. But something at the back of his mind told him to hold still and not throw the covers off. For he assumed it was the sheets and blanket wrapping him up in a cocoon of unwanted heat. Then other things began to register. Like the fact that he was sleeping on his back, and how the blanket was heavier on his right side and also on his chest. He also realized his right arm was pinned down under something heavy.
