Tree-House

1105 Words
Violet's POV We gather everything we have and start walking back to the village. Everyone watches us in excitement as they see what we are bringing over. One of the kids ran next to us to see what was in the basket. "Jee, what is that you're carrying?" he asks. "Fish!" he said back to him. "Fish!" he says, shocked. "Yes, we were able to catch some and cook them. Maybe later you can bring your brothers and try some." he says back to them. He must be good with kids. Looks like he naturally has great communication skills with kids. "I'll get them all and take them now. Where will you be? he asked. Jee looked at me and I nodded. "Our house." he says proudly. I see the child look at me and he double takes "Wow! You are so purty. I was so excited about what Jee was doing. I missed you next to him. My name is Jan. I'm a peacock." He says to me and shows his feathers He is so cute. His feathers are not too big but they are beautiful. He has green feathers that expand all around his body with a yellow owl-like eye pattern on him. Just like Jee, he has feet and claws, wings and arms. He has a human body but his wings are still showing, so it looks like he does not know how to put them away yet. Maybe when he gets older. "Nice to meet you. My name is Violet." I said back to him. I saw Jee blush again and just realized he hadn't asked for my name yet. He must be that shy, poor guy. "That's a pretty name. So you live with Jee now?" he asks. "We do, but we are moving to one of the tree-houses today. Are you going to come by later?" I asked him. "Yes! Which one?" he asks me and I look at Jee curious "The one by the open field." Jee says back to me. "That's not too far from us. I will get my brothers and head over there." he says and runs away. "He's pretty energetic." I said back to him laughingly. "That one, yes. He is very curious and loves to explore. He will enjoy all of this when he brings his brothers." he says back to me and we start walking. It's about a 15 minute walk from where we were to the tree-house. It's not bad. I can definitely climb up there, but I can't bring anything with me. "They made a ladder for you. So you will be able to climb up so it's easier." Jee says to me "Thank you. I will need to figure out how to get stuff up here if I need to bring anything up here on my own." I said back to him. "If you end up bringing anything up, I can help you. Actually, I will bring everything up in the future." he says back confidently. "Okay sounds good to me. But we should have something to haul things up in the future." I said to him. "If you want, we could think of something later." he says to me and waits for me to go up the ladder. It's a pretty spacious spot. A little hut on a branch. We walk in and there's a small room and somewhat of a kitchen. I looked for a bathroom and didn't see any. How am I supposed to take showers and use the bathroom? We walked more into the house and there's a little room. It's not big, but it's enough. Just enough room to sleep. Maybe later I can get a bigger house, but for now this is perfect. I look outside and the view is breathtaking. I can see the fruit field that we were at and the stream. Maybe he picked this spot so that it's easier for us to just leave and go there. Regardless, this is my house now and I have someone that will be with me and keep me company. For now, I will need to get through this and figure out how to survive here. System Notification: "Congrats on your new home! Maintaining your own house in the Beast World is a plus! Learn to upgrade it and you get more bonus points. Here's a gift!" My book! It's a receipt on how to make soap, shampoo and conditioner! Phew! I will need this too! I can't wait to try this. A lot of these I am not too familiar with, but maybe Jee will know what they are. "Jee, where do we go to bathe and use the bathroom?" I asked him. "We usually go to the stream to bathe and for the bathroom we would walk to a secluded area and do our business there. Do you have to use the bathroom? And do you want to go to the stream to bathe?" he asks shyly. "Not now but soon before it gets dark. And clothes, do you have more?" I asked him. "Clothes? What is that?" he asked "You know how to cover your body?" I asked curiously. "I have never seen the clothes you wear before. I don't know how to do that but I can find things to try to make something similar to that." he says to me and leaves That guy is too impulsive. He set everything from today down by the door so I will place it where we should have them. There are no tables or chairs or beds. Nothing here besides a nest. I need to start changing things up here. System Notification: "Upgrade your house with new furnishes. This will improve your relationship with your potential husband and add your prestige to the tribe." Great! I can receive bonus items again. I place the basket outside and take the coconuts and fish inside the house. These can also be dried. That way we can preserve the fish and eat it later on. Now we have bowls and a knife. Later I can make more utensils, plates and pots. The more, the easier it is to cook. I wonder if we can add a fire in here. I checked an area close to the door and we would be able to crack a window in that area. There are no windows here and no light. It's getting darker so we will need something for light. Are all of them nocturnal birds? I looked outside and saw no light fixtures. So we need something for light, clothes, utensils, a bathroom and a shower.
