She snoozed, hearing him in the kitchen. In a few moments he was back, balancing mugs and biscuits.
“It’s Emma’s wedding in a few weeks' time, would you like to come?” Lisa asked, dipping a shortbread into warm, milky tea.
“Sure,” Gabe replied, nuzzling her arm with his mouth.
Lisa felt ridiculously happy, she glanced at her watch.
“I’d better get ready in a minute, your sister will be here soon.”
