Chapter 15: An Outburst

610 Words
“Your tricks are so dirty,” I said as I pulled a wire from his chest.     A confession, that’s what they want from me. How did I know? I saw the police officers in surveillance vans outside and some familiar faces. Also, Harvey would never talk to me outside the school; I’m not a fool like others think.     Plus, the Gobblers don’t invite people in the house unless their important or friends and the drama club are none of those. They just made it up to get me to their house.     “Like you said, I’m not ignorant. So why would you even try?” I said, smiling down on his shocked face. “Keep up the bad work Gobbler.”       “Everyone, let’s all give it up for Harvey Gobbler,” Mr. Belen said. This is the Harvey’s first day back in school. I actually haven’t seen him since last week in his house. I laugh every time I remember his shocked, pale face; I would pay to see that again.     I find it odd and that we have to clap for him just because he came back, not that I’m clapping for him but when I got back from that trip, no one clapped for me.     “Be seated now,” he said and Harvey proceeded to his chair which is the one behind mine. It’s very unfortunate, very, very unfortunate for him. I’m not scared of him, I am a little bit scared of his power but other than that, I’m not scared.     “Ms. Alcoy is out sick so I will be her substitute,” he said which made everyone cheer. “She did tell me to give out this quiz,” he added. Why not lead with that?       “Stop that,” I whispered to Harvey. He started tapping his foot on my chair when Mr. Belen left the room and it’s making it really hard to concentrate on my quiz.     He didn’t listen; he still continued tapping his foot. There’s a saying that goes, if words doesn’t work, use force, said by me. So I stood up, pushed his chair until he fell off and placed my chair in front of the class. It’s better this way.     “Why are you sitting there?” Mr. Belen asked as soon as he got back.     “Harvey was copying my answer so I had to move my seat,” I answered.     “That’s not true,” he argued.     “It is sir, he didn’t know the lesson because he was too busy faking being sick so he decided to copy mine,” I said as I smiled teasingly at him. I don’t back down in fights.       “Did you guys hear?” Mikaela asked, sitting with us on the table. It’s lunch time which for Mikaela means talking time.     What?” I asked.     “There’s a party tomorrow night,” she said, excitedly. “Where?” Max asked.     “Joana’s house, are you guys going?” She asked but I can’t concentrate since Harvey is throwing food at me. Why is he wasting so much food?     Is he testing my patience? If yes, then he’s doing a good job. “Harvey, can you stop?”  I asked politely.     “What if I don’t? What will you do, push my chair?” He asked and he and his guards laughed. I would if I could but I can’t, the chairs and tables in the cafeteria are bolted on the floor.     “No but do you know what I would do? I’d pick my tray up and hit your face with it until you’re numb and bloody. Then, I’d take your leather jacket, wrap it around your neck and strangle you with it,” I answered. I can’t stop myself when I get angry; it’s something that I have to work with.     The whole cafeteria became silent, everyone was looking at me. “As you were, as you were,” I said and continued eating. “What were you saying?” I asked Mikaela.
