Still in alert mode, I turned in the direction from which I heard the laughter was coming from and I almost jumped. There on one of the chairs sat Gabriel. Over the years, he was the only person I had contact with, well, other than Damien. I ran towards him and he stood up to greet me. In our usual fashion, he grabbed me into a big bare hug and lifted me off the ground. His hands wrapped around my middle and twirled me around a few times. It was good to see him.
