“Nope, I don’t think we need anything else. We’ll start setting up the table. I’m assuming there’s an area set aside for us?” Mom asked. “Yes, we marked a couple platters. Let me know if you need anything else. I’ll be around.” She smiled. She clearly didn’t want us to ask any other questions, because she walked away pretty quickly. “Mom, I cannot go out there. Nick is out there,” I whispered and started fidgeting with my hands. “Honey, you knew you were going to see him today. You’re just going to have to face it and suck it up,” she said bluntly and started picking up boxes of cinnamon rolls. “I’m going to have an anxiety attack,” I mumbled and picked up boxes of muffins.
