CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN
Sam was a woman with a plan. It was clear that Lysis was far more interested in destroying the city than fighting them. So, she stood and faced the monster once again and without thinking twice or letting her partner in battle in on the plan. Lysis, for a second, had been distracted by the golden giantess running right at him.
The beast couldn’t resist such an easy target, it fired its purple beams in her direction. Sam spun to avoid most of them, but made sure to get hit in the left shoulder. Sparks flew as she fell to the ground.
She tried to get up, but fell to the ground. Vysenia started to rush over to help when more beams struck out at the both of them. They knocked him to the ground as well and now Lysis stood over them both as if it were a living shadow.
