I entered the cafe and headed to my locker to change the clothes.

I reached the cafe counter and greeted Santiago and Christina with a good morning.

"Are feeling better now?" Christina asked me holding my hand.

I smiled at her.

"I am good now. Thanks for your help."

"No problem, best friend." She said with a smile.

"I want to talk to you about something very important."

"Yes sure I am all ears."

"It will take time. we can talk after our work while eating dinner."

"Ok as you wish Sweetie. Christina smiled.

Thank God it's just one day, after that it will be weekend.

I started working as usual.

During lunch time, I got a call from Alessandro.

>>"I am fine sweetheart. Tell me the truth, did anything happen?"

>>" I am worried about you sweetheart."

>>"Good sweetheart. I will thank them later for taking care of you."

>>"It is for your safety baby. We are worried about you."

>>"Yes sweetheart. How about you? You had your lunch?"

>>"Okay eat sweetheart and yeah, let me know what you think about moving in okay?

>>"Bye sweetheart. Take care and be careful. Keep your phone with you."

I slide my phone in my pocket as Santiago called for me.

"Mercedes, come my mom send three of us some lunch dishes."

I sat down beside Christina feeling hungry watching tasty dishes.

We ate our lunch talking about random things.

The day went by so quickly.

We changed into our clothes and got ready to go back to our apartment.

I am really nervous about how will Christina react.

We called a cab because Christina was insisted.

She said she didn't want to take any risk.

I am really grateful to have friend a like her.

We reached our apartment and headed to our room to freshen up.

I came back to the kitchen to decide what to make for dinner.

I decided on chicken stir fry.

Christina came to help me and we started with dinner.

We sat down to have dinner with a glass of juice.

We have serious a conversation to talk about.

"What do you want to talk about?" Christina asked curiously.

"Alessandro told me he have an idea who could have cornered me at the cafe."I said.

"How could he know that?"

"He said it's someone from his rival gangs?"

She looked at me with confusion face.

I sighed.

"Alessandro is the leader of a mafia gang."

Christina chocked on her juice.

I gave her a glass of the water as she coughed and drank half of the water in the glass.

"Oh my goodness! I never imagined it will be something like that." she said rubbing her head.

"That is why he thinks that someone is trying to use me to get to him. He suggested that I should move in with him for some days so that he can protect me."

"It's too much to take." She said running hands through her face.

"I know it was for me too. But I thought about it and I also don't want to put you ina dangerous situation because of me. So is it okay if I move in with him for some days?" I asked her.

"First,never say that you are putting me in danger because of you. I am willing to take any sort of danger for you. You are my best friend. I think your safety is important so it will be best if you stay by Alessandro's side for a while so he can protect you. Don't worry about the apartment, I will be here. You can come back anytime you want."

"Thank you so much." I appreciated her.

"You are most welcome, best friend."

" What do you think about Alessandro being a Mafia leader? Your reaction was not so great."I said rubbing my hands together.

"As long as he doesn't hurt you, it's fine. From what I have seen so far, he really cares about you or I could say he loves you." She said smirking.

I blushed and cupped my cheeks to cover my blush.

Christina giggled and came to my side hugging me tightly.

"Take care of yourself Sweetie. I will always be there whenever you need me." She said kissing my forehead."

Tears gathered in my eyes and I kissed her cheek gratefully.

She promised me to help in packing as it was weekend.

I wanted to surprise Alessandro with this news.

I can make some lunch and go to his house to surprise him.

I told Christina about my plan.

"Yes but I am coming to drop you off to his house."she said.

"But I can go myself."I whined.

"No, I am coming with you." She said firmly.

I huffed and cross my arms pouting.

She and Alessandro are being really protective of me after that incident.

"Let's sleep now. We have lot to do tomorrow." Christina said taking our plates to sink.

We cleaned up the kitchen and went to sleep.
