Chapter 3: The Food Basket

YASMIN’S POV

YASMIN’S VILLA

6am

Same goes for every night, I couldn't sleep, I decided to jog around the village when I came outside and saw him there

“Are you stalking me now?”

“Who would waste their precious time get stuck on stalking you”

“So why are you here?”

He sighed and rolled his eyes

“That villa you're staying belong to-”

He stopped and looked at me like he was studying me

“I live here”

He pointed at a big house next to mine

“Don't think I'm stalking you, the more I get to see your face, the more I think of moving away from here”

“Then move then”

“it'll only satisfy you and I don't want that”

FOOD BASKET

11:00am

The weather had a nice change today as we got to the sitting area where all the farmers were and then I saw him looking at me unamused while sipping his drink

“Hello everyone we have a new member her name is Yasmin Theor and I-”

The tourist got disrupted when he started choking on his drink and looking at me surprised

“Leo are you okay”

That name felt familiar

“Yes I thought I heard something” he cleared his throat, stood up and grabbed a cutlass

“I guess it's time for work everyone, miss Yasmin after you”

YASMIN’S VILLA

6:00pm

My back feels like it left my body, I had to do all this just for my father's profit then suddenly his name flashed my ears again

“Leo are you okay?”

“I've heard of that name before”

I reached to my phone when I saw no signal I groaned loudly starting to question my stay here I stepped outside when I saw another guy coming out with Leo

“Hey!”

“Uh.. Hey”

“I'm Yasmin” I stretched my hands forward

He looked back at Leo like he would be committing a crime if he had accepted my handshake

“I'm Ken”

“Nice to meet you, you don't look like someone here often so I thought of talking to you, are you guys dating”

Leo looked at me then looked at Ken

“Are you crazy?”

“Do you think we look good together?”

Ken said with a sneaky smirk when Leo shoved him

“The f**k are you talking about”

“If you're done with your little introduction we have to leave”

“Leave?? Where Ken just take me anywhere I'm bored”

I rushed to his arm and Leo just kept looking like a lost dog

“well we are going to the a fair I'm actually forcing him but you can join us”

SUNTOWN NIGHT FAIR

6:23pm

Ken and I were walking around under the lights of so many shops and chatting everywhere while Leo was at the back looking at us like we were pests as we explored the whole the fair

"Why don't you live here"

I asked as we were walking slowly in the streets

"Nah this place isn't for me"

"Is it because your boyfriend is annoying"

He laughed loudly and looked back only to see an angry bird giving him a glare and he cleared his throat

"He prefers this place and everyone has different taste" he continued

"Why do you want the farmland"

"yes, you need to answer"

Leo said as he took a step closer to us

"My dad made me come here"

"Theor?"

"Yeah, he seems obsessed with the land so that's i came"

"Leo, do you by any chance know my dad?"

"No"

He left Ken and I while walking faster

"He is so arrogant, straight forward how do you deal with him"

"He really is something"

8:03pm

“Thank you Ken I really fun, and you too I guess”

“Nah it's nothing, I'll see you later, goodnight”

He left the two of us together silent filled the air when he was about to leave but stopped and said

“If you need wifi you would have to pay for it you're not in your castle where you have everything at your door step”

“How do you know I came from a castle”

“I can tell Ken to give you the password to our wifi”

He was leaving without looking back and ignored my question when I asked another question

"Is it really because you have Ken that you don't want to answer what I have to say?"

He stopped and looked at me

"Don't speak to me about the farm unless in meetings"

He turned and left me on the spot

3:00am

My head was pounding and I felt like I was floating, my eyes were teary and my legs felt numb, I couldn't sleep even if it was just 4 hours my eyes could not close

I had already taken pills before but it wasn't working it only made things worse, I forced myself to close my eyes and series of emotions started flashing on my eyes I couldn't take it anymore

I stood up and swallowed 8 pills at once, I finally shot my eyes but my legs were moving

I didn't know when my legs had reached the road and almost got hit by a truck when someone pushed me away and I hit my head on the floor. The first thing I heard after getting conscious was a females voice

"Are you okay"

"Hm"

"Speak to me, is everything okay"

'My head"

"Does it hurt?"

"How...how did I get here?"

"I just saw you in the middle if the road"

"are you fine?"

"I'm okay"

I lied just to leave that place

"Th..thank you I need to leave now"

When I reached home I tried to sleep again but I couldn't all that time I was being traumatized again

"Please"

"Please stop"

"I didn't do anything ma"

Helicopter sounds were pounding in my ears, I opened my eyes being out of breath, I stood up way too fast and my head was spinning really fast, I didn't stop there I took 4 more pills and tried to sleep again but I couldn't I tool another 4 pills and another and another and another till I collapsed at the final take on the kitchen floor
