Falcon looks at the faces of his parents and their happiness. Their faces illuminated at their marriage at eighteen years old. Their eyes sparkling with excitement at the joy of being together and ending up in the society group together. Falcon continues to look at the circular frame of his parents' best day of their life. He frowns as he eats a plain bread bun. As he changes to get ready for the school day, he practices fake smiling and being interested in topics that he couldn't care less about. The Rhododendron idea just brought a much-needed distraction into focus and allows him to effectively play a role that he wishes he could discard.
