Chance encounter

I plastered a bright smile on my face as I spun round to face the principal, Mrs Kira popularly known as Miss kinky, she was not your average school principal, she's tall, richly endowed with curves and blessed with a small cute but stern face. I wouldn't be surprised if some students were in love with her, some guys can be perverts at times.

"Jordan hunter" Mrs Kira said nodding to Jordan who stuffed his hands in his pockets.

"Morning miss. It's great to be back in school, I missed all of my teachers...... Especially you" He said his voice low

She raised an eyebrow and muttered something before fixing her gaze on me.

"Miss Wilson, I need to see you in my office now" she said with a raised chin

Uh oh

"Yes ma'am but I have biology first class which is.... now " I said looking at the silver plated wristwatch strapped to my wrist and as if on cue the school bell rang

"Well, then you're excused from first period. Follow me" she said and without waiting for my answer, she turned on her heels and started walking away as students rushed to their various classes.

Jordan followed me behind Mrs Kira back and as if she sensed that an unwanted person was following her, she halted and turned back to face both of us.

"Mr hunter, I thought I was clear that only Miss Wilson was to follow me" She said, anger glaring in her tone

"Yeah but...." Jordan began to protest

" I WILL NOT REPEAT MYSELF, MR HUNTER. TO YOUR CLASS NOW AND I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT IF YOU SKIP FIRST PERIOD, I'LL MAKE SURE TO GRANT YOU THAT EXTRA HOLIDAY YOU SO MUCH WANT" She said

"Really?" Jordan asked

"Yeah, why not. But that holiday won't end for you cos it'll be expulsion" she said, her eyes bulging

"Oh, well....jeez. Bye Anna, wouldn't want my favorite principal to kick me out" He joked before jogging away.

I smiled slightly as Mrs Kira regained her composure and I followed her to her office at the end of the hallway.

We entered and she moved to sit on the large leather swivel chair with a stack of documents piled on her table

"Sit" she gestured to the black upholstery chair in front of her desk

"Right" I said nervously.

"Now miss Wilson.... Do you know why you're here?"

"I'm guessing I'm in trouble.... " I said nervously. Just being in her presence made me shiver with dread..

"No, it's prom season. Like you know, the student council selects who they want as chairperson and you've been elected, congratulations." She said leaning back on her chair.

"Wait, really.... Wow, I literally though Kristen would win but this is.....wow. I can't believe this" I gushed

Kristen was lead cheerleader and hottest girl in school, I know you're probably envisaging a spoiled brat who's rude and evil but Kristen was calm, nice and though we weren't exactly friends, we weren't also enemies but everyone at school tagged us as rivals cos isn't that how it is in movies, the cheerleader is evil and likes the hottest guy in school and she becomes an enemy to the girlfriend of the guy which isn't true in our case as Jordan and I aren't even dating but who's gonna tell the student body that? They'll still make up their own weird stories about us.

"Miss Wilson?" Mrs Kira said snapping me out of my thoughts

"Yeah, sorry. I got zoned out briefly" I admitted

"Signup sheets for the planning committee will be pasted on the notice board so that preparations can start in earnest" she said drumming her fingers on the the table while staring intently at me.

"When's the official announcement?" I asked feeling uncomfortable by her searching gaze

"Right after first period. There will be an assembly and I'll make the official announcement and Brianna, you have a really good reputation and I trust you, don't let it flop" She cautioned nodding slowly like she just spoke the wisest words.

I smiled and nodded

" Have I ever failed you, Mrs Kira?" I asked a bit proudly.

"No, and that's what bothers me with the thought of you making your first mistake with this" she said slightly shuddering at the thought.

I laughed and got up

"Trust me as always, I won't disappoint. I'll get going now, thanks" I said.

Mrs Kira nodded and waved me off.

I got out and closed the door gently as I walked fully into the hallway.

The hallway was completely empty and I walked over to my locker to drop the books I was holding when I received a text from Jordan

Jordan?- Anna, you done? Mr Stallone just finished talking us through some bisecting Hocus pocus.

Me - *smiles* you're not gonna believe what happened ?

I smiled as I texted him, my eyes glued to my phone when suddenly, a soft and warm hand clamped down on my shoulder and of course it was so sudden so I gave a loud shriek and almost dropped my phone.

I quickly spun back to come face to face with a cute guy.

" He's new here" That was my first thought, I had never seen him.

He smiled brightly showing off a dimple, his smile was so contagious that I found myself also smiling against my will.

"Wow, did your mum steal all the stars and put them in your eyes?" He asked, his blue eyes searching mine, he had really beautiful eyes with lights dancing in them and for someone so cute, he had a really deep voice.

I shuddered at our close proximity and shifted back

"No, but I think she stole your manners and brains and fed it to a herd of asthmatic buffaloes" I snapped.

I don't do well with compliments from strangers.
