Marco remained in the waiting room, pacing restlessly, while he was awaiting information. Soon enough, Dr. Fredrick, a middle-aged man with a friendly countenance, came out of the emergency room, donning a white gown and stethoscope.
"Mr. Marco, please come along with me," said Dr. Fredrick in a soft tone of voice.
Marco followed Dr. Fredrick to his office, feeling very apprehensive. Dr. Fredrick ushered Marco to have a seat and sat down on the other side of his desk.
His head nodded in sorrow as his eyes filled with compassion. "Mr. Marco, I'm afraid sera has suffered from a severe case of stress-induced shock," Dr. Fredrick began.
