Chapter Thirteen‘What do you mean, find out what’s beyond?’ Daisy asks.
‘I mean, what’s after life. What happens when you die,’ I explain. ‘Look, I need to know. I need to. And I know Jenna needs to know too—’
‘How do you know Jenna wants an answer?’ Daisy interrupts me. ‘Have you spoken to her about it?’
‘Look, I know she does,’ I insist. ‘I just do. I need to do this one thing for her. I need to find out where she’s going to go.’
‘Mate,’ Callum says uncomfortably. ‘How on Earth are we gonna do this? We’re only kids. How are we gonna find the answer to life’s biggest mystery?’
‘We’re not kids!’ I snap. ‘I’m fifteen soon. And anyway, we’re gonna look where people haven’t looked before. We’re gonna do loads of research. We’ll find the answer.’
