*Miss Manon, Mrs Malcolm wants you downstairs "the maid that came to get Manon said " alright give me a minute let me get changed"Manon said as she asked the maid to excuse her...

Manon took one of her responsible cloth that is good enough to be presented to people but not too much that it will over shadow Megan's own .. after like ten minutes she was down to the stage as Megan welcomed her with a big hug , even Manon was left speechless..

"Sister I just found out from my parents that today is also your birthday, you should come and join me let's celebrate together" Megan said loud enough for everyone at the party to hear , just that statement was enough to make Manon a joke for the night , Carlos Williams was just at one corner watching everything that was unfolding while Manon was not really in the mood to argue so she goes with everything that Megan said ...

She just watched how Megan clutched to Jake as if her life depends on it ,... As time goes Manon was already tired of sitting down at the stage smiling like everything is alright while it's not , she was about to head back to her room when Megan held her down , and "sister it's time for me to open the gifts , can you accompany me pls "Megan said with a sweet voice such that if manon were to refuse , all the guest will start critizing her ..

"Sure why not " Manon said

"That's great , sister if you see anything you like while opening the gift tell and it will be yours after all today is also your birthday ok" Megan said and Manon just nodded...

Literally everyone that has been trying to ask the Malcolm family for a favour tried to use the opportunity of presenting their gifts to show how much they mean to them ..

Megan seeing all the gifts presented to her was beyond happy but she still tried to keep a straight as the real heiress of the Malcolm family...

"Megan it's time for me and your mom to present our own gift to you" Mr Malcolm said as him and Mrs Malcolm stepped forward and brought out a box the servant brought for them and opened but the box ended up being empty"mom , dad what happened? Megan asked seeing the empty box

Mr and Mrs Malcolm stared at themselves in shock...

" me and your mom got you a bracelet that's worth five million dollars, we specifically choosed the design to be crafted for you , but now it's missing "Mr Malcolm said

Within the next minutes , Mr Malcolm gathered all the servants in his house" this is a one time opportunity for you all , if you knew that you're the one that took out the bracelet bring it out now , I will have mercy on you and will not throw you out of the Malcolm family house but if you don't and the police comes to be investigate and eventually finds you out , you will be thrown out the Malcolm family.. "Mr Malcolm said and all the servant kept quite all the guest were really anticipating for the show to start to see the servants who had the mind to steal from his master but the didn't expect the turn of event as one of the female maid came out and started pointing at Manon

Manon recalled her face as the maid that came to call her earlier , seeing her pointing at her Manon knew immediately that this was a trap, the only problem here is that she doesn't know who her up for it...

"Am really sorry Mr Malcolm please don't send me out of the Malcolm family, I was only following miss Manon orders" the said as she knelt down in tears ..

"What do you mean you were following my orders? Manon asked getting fed up with this servant disgusting act..

" Miss Manon please don't make it harder than it already is I will give you the money you gave to me back"

"Sister , if you wanted the bracelet you should have asked and I would have given it to you peacefully" Megan said as she stared with Manon with pitiful eyes..

"Why are you jumping into conclusion already I said I didn't steal any bracelet" Manon tried explaining to her parents at least for the past six years she has lived with them ,they would be able to believe her but Mr Malcolm words made her believe that they were really the one that set her up "the bracelet has been found in your room , and I said earlier who so ever took the bracelet will be kicked out of the Malcolm family ... So hereby I denounce you as my adopted daughter I can't be raising a thief"Mr Malcolm said leaving Manon in a daze " how could these people be able to change their feelings so fast that only proved one thing , they never cared about her for once and she didn't bother arguing about it so she just agreed , she would have at least tried to prove her innocence but it will be useless cause the camera that was installed in their house was taken down yesterday and she finally knew the reason now..

As she was about to leave ,, Jake called her name and that stopped her in her track steps as she turned around to see the disgust look on his eyes , "well perfect I think is time to finally cut off from this family entirely" Manon thought as she waited for Jake to say his mind.

"Seeing that your a thief I don't think my engagement with you , the Williams family can never accept a thief as their daughter in law" Jake said and Manon was about to reply him when another voice stopped her .

"What happened to the engagement? Carlos Williams asked Jake as he finally made himself know , Jake was surprised to his older cousin brother here and he immediately greeted him and tried to paint Manon black in from of him , so he will easily accept when he says he wants to break off the engagement..

" big brother welcome, you might of missed it now but Manon is actually a thief "Jake said and Manon rolled her not one bit bothered about what he said...

" I have a birthday present for miss Malcolm "Carlos said and Megan heart was about to jump out of its place , she could not believe that the mighty Carlos bought her a gift , seems like her marriage with Jake is already settled...

" I think I should put it on for her by self"the next word Carlos said almost made Megan to faint but she held on..

Carlos walked up to her but her face changed when he passed her leaving her embarrassed and walked up to Manon to ace the hair clip he brought , everyone in the room could the hair clip and how expensive it could be ,why would Carlos gift the adopted daughter of the Malcolm family this kind of gift and leave the real daughter, do they have any relationship that the world does not know about"all this were going on in everyone's head before Jake voiced out his mind

" big brother i think you gave the gift to the wrong person , it's Megan who's the real Malcolm miss not Manon"Jake said trying to save face for Megan

" oh didn't know about it , I just knows Manon plus today's also her birthday "Carlos said leaving Megan more embarrassed

" thank you Mr Williams, I think I should get going now "Manon said as she made a mental note to return the hair clip later retuning it in front of everyone here will be quite disrespectful

" wait"came Carlos voice" don't you think , that this case of stealing should be investigated properly after all no one caught miss Malcolm on the act "Carlos said , Manon seeing that he was trying to help clear ber name , she joined him" yes I would really love to call the police to come investigate"Manon said

" fine I will get them here"Carlos said in a heartbeat

"What , no you can't involve the police" Megan almost yelled but she kept her voice in check

"Why Megan if I may ask? Manon said with a fierce look , she was actually going to let it go but the look on these people's face just provoked her if they wanted to kick her out they should have done in a normal way why stain her name first just so that the world won't judge them

" come on sis, this case has already been settled there's no reason for you to call the police , besides I'm scared that you might really end up in prison if the police investigates and I really don't want of you"Megan said and Manon...

" how come am not worried about that but you're, I'm so touched , no need to worry miss Malcolm if I'm found guilty I will gladly go to prison but if I'm not don't you think that the culprit should be punished after all I was almost framed "Manon said without breaking any eye contact with Megan , Megan was almost intimidated if Jake didn't interfere..

" enough with this Manon , all this will get you no where"Jake said...." Manon don't you think you're being too harsh on your sister , after all you took her place for the past six years , we brought you up is this how you're going to repay us"Mrs Malcolm chipped in with a more pitiful voice .

"Fine, I'm letting this go for now," Manon said.

"For now," Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm said in their hearts. What was this girl up to?

"I believe by tomorrow we can get to break the adoption. I don't want to be stuck with such a family," Manon said.

Mr. Malcolm would have really refused. How dare this young brat use his words against him? "Yes... fine, then. See you tomorrow."
