Ken couldn't help but cry as he simulation ended, the dark silhouette he knew as his father still directly beside him, that orb had instantly transported him to the tournament of the gods, when Bale and d**k had come along (though he didn't know it was them, everyone in the tournament thought it was Zhangshun Shan who actually destroyed majority of them but it was d**k and Bale but those two had manipulated everyone's memories into making it look like it was Zhangshun Shan and forgetting that those two ever arrived), the seven creatures that his father helped him to bring along all died. Now, it was left to him, Ken had thought that his most logical option was to take care of Zhangshun Shan as he saw him as his most formidable threat and one of his gentlemen code is 'always take care of the most difficult first, that way, it gets easier and reduces futuristic stress.' "Father," Ken cried. "I didn't know you had to go through all this, I mean we did spoke about it and all but I never knew it was this intense, that is what was at her stake, all I just thought was that you were some hotshot challenging omnipotent beings around the cosmos." "Things are never as they seem," Kredek answered as he hovered towards his child. "You can't die now, at least, not yet, you still carry the will and dream of Dishra and I, until you bring it to fulfillment, you can't rest." "Seems kind of unfair for you to just disappear for a long time, we just had one conversation..." "That lasted an even longer time," Kredek interrupted. "But Dad, how am I even here?" Ken looked around more cautiously. "I mean I was pretty sure I died, Zhangshun Shan beat me, he showed me he was a truer gentleman than I, I am supposed to be at least six feet under." "There's still so much you don't know," Kredek said as he hovered backwards. "What is done here is called a soul cry, I was affiliated with one of the gods trigintillion of years before he even became a god, Dishra and I are the oldest 20D beings in all of existence, I knew when almost all higher dimensional beings were born, after all, I had sprung forth before them," Kredek continued. "The soul cry that is currently active allows the dead to communicate with the living and it's highly dependent on the degree of bonding love between them, I recall all my memories thanks to the soul cry that's currently active, once the soul cry is over, I shall some of this memories but that's not what's of importance here, what Dishra wanted me to know, the thing I was highly lacking was love," Kredek said as he now looked at his palms. "But when I saw you and your mother back, I understood it better and now, I do know what truly the greatest force is." "Yesssssssss!!!" Ken said as he bent his face, tears were falling from his eyes. "I hoped you'd still be alive, I thought you were gone but now seeing you and hearing that explanation, I know you are alive and nothing warms my heart more than that." "What are you talking about?" There was a confused tone in Kredek's voice. "You said something about soul cry is only possible between the living and dead, I remembered being stabbed by Zan so I am obviously dead meaning you must be the living here." "It's infact quite the opposite," Kredek explains.  "When we first met, I had stopped your perception as you had stopped the perception of everyone around, then I had moved over to you and drawn protective runes all over your body so that even if your form was to be harmed, your soul would be protected and find a safe-getaway, that's how I was able to save you and why you can now stand here with me." "That's a bummer," Ken frowned as he looked away.  "I know you expect me to carry on your dreams and all but I don't know if I am capable of doing it, I couldn't even defeat a mere 3D being despite all my scheming and power, he outsmarted me in every way possible." "And why did you think he needed to be defeated?" "It's obvious," Ken said raising his voice.  "He was obviously the greatest threat there, he was able to alter all the beings there and even destroyed several of us easily." "So because of that, you then esteem him as the greatest threat," Kredek had a mild laughter in his voice.  "Do you know the difference between a friend and foe?" "The fact that friend is spelt r-i-e-n-d after f and foe is spelt o-e after f," Ken said with a sly smile, a disappointed look materialized on Kredek's face as he looked at his son.   "Relax, Dad," Ken grinned.  "I am just playing, if I was to take a guess, I am thinking maybe because of opposing ideals or just natural enmity." "Exactly son, usually, in all the lifetimes I have lived and viewed, what causes fractions of friends and foes is opposing ideals, because someone wants to do something and the other feels he has to do something contradictory to that, as a result, friends and foes are born," Kredek said as he begun walking towards his son.  "But Zhangshun Shan isn't a foe to you, at least not yet, he's the one who shall finally bring our long awaited dreams to fulfillment, he isn't your enemy." "I don't think I want to have anything to do with that simpleton," Ken said disagreeably.  "I am pretty sure I can win this tournament on my own, all I just need is to be more careful and proactive." "Son, there are battles that can't be won alone," Kredek began.  "When two armies fight, it's not the number of men on either side that's the factor for victory..." "Obviously, it's the one with the most number of refined skills amongst their men," Ken interrupted. "Still wrong," Kredek smiled.  "The main determinant is the depth of the unity amongst the army, I have seen several armies with incredible power and strength fall to weaker armies of pitiful might, once there's unity, it doesn't matter how weak a team might seem initially, they are bound to get stronger as unity doesn't just give strength, it also takes away weakness, it's not just enough to be strong, you have to have no weakness." "Why are you telling me all this?" "I am going somewhere, son," Kredek continued.  "And unity is impossible without love, that's why love is the strongest force in all of existence, love is the only thing that can foster true unity, if there is no love amongst unified members, they will eventually crumble even if they are extremely strong, love helps to identify weakness and strength, one funny thing about it is that it always finds a way to improve strength and reduce weakness." "Wow," Ken opened his mouth, clearly in shock.  "For someone who abandoned his family for as long as you did, you sure know a lot about love." Kredek ignored his remark as he continued.  "Nothing makes a man stronger like love does as it endures, it's one of it's core attributes, there's a limit to how much a man can go without love, the man who is truly unstoppable is the one with love in his heart, I didn't know this while I lived but at the moment I died, I truly realized how strong love is, without love, the fulfillment of a dream is empty as it always leaves this hollow feeling but when love is involved, the void is filled," Kredek took a pause as tears dropped down his eyes.  "And it's impossible to manifest love without feeling it for something or someone, it's not enough just to love yourself, you have to love others, when you only love yourself, your center of focus becomes yourself and everything you do, you do it just because it's related to yourself and by doing that, you have already given yourself a set-limit before your journey even begins, it's also not not enough to love something as items are mudane, there's a limit to how much they can inspire you to get better but when you love someone else or more people," Kredek said as he began to wipe away the tears which fell of his eyes.  "Then limitless doesn't begin to cut the potential strength you can achieve as when there is love, a way shall always be found, it gives you a reason to keep living and fighting, you see the essence of sacrifice and it perfectly casts out a life of regret, the best type of love is one that's mutual," Kredek said as he now stood before his son, he towered over him by about two inches.  "To love is nothing, to be loved is something, to love and be loved is everything, it's love for you that helped me to withstand an attack that should have eliminated me instantly and it's your love for me and my creation that helped us to triumph over that 50D beings, it's love that kept Dishra standing moments after he was supposed to have died and it's my love for him that enabled me to understand his message, it's love that kept your mom hopeful and expectant even after so long and it's that love," Kredek placed his right arm on the left shoulder of his son.  "That will help you to always find a way even when there's none, will is incomplete without love." "But Father," Ken began to cry.  "I don't know who to love." "We always know who to love," Kredek answered.  "But we are always just never fully certain but life in itself is just one big leap of faith, it's full of uncertainties and that's truly what makes it beautiful, higher dimensional beings can easily access the time flow of lower dimensions but they are limited by beings higher than them and creatures like the gods who are even beyond dimensional hierarchy are still limited and uncertain about a being like the Jade Emperor, even the Jade Emperor would have his limit, I just don't know what it is, there are things we can control and things we can't," Kredek continued.  "For the things we can control, we control and for the things we can't," Kredek grinned as he outstretched his two arms as if he wanted to fall. "What?" Ken asks.  "What do we do regarding things we can't control?". "We take a leap of faith, trust in ourselves and teammates and always keep a cool head," Kredek answered as he begun to fall backwards.  "after all, being cool headed at all times is the main attribute of a gentleman," as he said that, Kredek fell into the nothingness below him and disappeared for all eternity. Ken was left standing, tears in his eyes, he could feel his entire body glowing, looking up, he saw a light, it radiated with all colours of the rainbow. Ken smiled as he stretched his hand towards that light and at a speed beyond even infinity, he was accelerated into the shining lights. "Zan," Ashley began, clearly dumbfounded.  "how did you do that? I thought you were dead." Zhangshun Shan had his most demeaning grin as he turned towards Ashley.  "Even Death can't kill Zhangshun Shan, only Zhangshun Shan can kill death." Ashley's amazed facial expression begin to fade away as she now wore one of shock and fear.   "How is this possible?" She whimpers. "Based on the way her facial expression changed," Zhangshun Shan thought while still standing fixed in his position.  "Something occured that even surprises her more than I supposedly coming back from the dead and killing the one who supposedly killed me, the look on her face didn't have this emotional intensity when I did that meaning that whatever she's seeing now is even more shocking than that, now, what could be more shocking than," as Zhangshun Shan thought, he quickly dodged to his right, he was lucky he did that at the opportune time cause immediately, a  beam of red light shot passed him, he grazed his right arm slightly leaving a bruise but Zhangshun Shan was safe as he now turned towards the direction of the place where he was shot.  "Ken himself resurrecting back to life." True enough, Ken was standing right in the position where he had supposedly died, he still maintained the same appearance as ever and as usual, he began to adjust his clothes in order to get rid of the creases and squeezes all over it as while he was on the ground, a lot of creases had formed on his clothes.   "I am surprised you dodged that attack, I was pretty sure I masked my essence in order to ensure you wouldn't notice I was back." "I am Zhangshun Shan," Zhangshun Shan grinned pointing to himself.  "Nothing shall be hidden from me." "Well, if that's true so it means you know what my next move is," Ken smiled as he adopts a calmer posture, right now, he was adjusting the hem of his shirt.  "After all, a gentleman only speaks when it's needed." "I don't think sense any murderous intent from him," Zhangshun Shan thought still holding his sword firmly.  "Ken is quite adept in battle, he knows my only advantage is the sword which I carry, one thing to note about in most battles is that in order to guarantee victory during a lasting fight, it's best to take out every advantage the opponent is capable of having meaning he might try and take my sword except that isn't a gentlemanly thing to do and Ken believes in the gentleman code, trying to figure out what his deal is infuriating and annoying as he doesn't seem to have made any move to leave where he's currently standing, well, I know exactly what to do" Zhangshun Shan stopped thinking as he put on even more haughtier smile, pointing at Ken.  "I could decimate you where you very well stand, I did it before and I can do it again, after all, need I remind you that my flowers are still active." "Ooh you mean this," Ken grinned as he bent down, taking up one of the flowers scattered around the ground and breathed in the scent greedily.  "I have grown accustomed to it's scent and my five senses can now operate even while inhaling it's scent, after all, a gentleman who can't appreciate nature is no gentleman at all." "Everyone can talk big," Zhangshun Shan retorts. "Usually people who talk big are those with small libidos, they use the gift of speech to cover up what they so lack greatly in their genitals," Ken grinned as he stood up to his full height, as Zhangshun Shan heard that, his face flinched in pain and annoyance.  "In order to tell you I wasn't bluffing while I had grown accustomed to the scent of the pereneli hypousei, your heart rate is 48 beats per minute, this is lower than the average man as your heart functions more efficiently and you posses more cardiovascular fitness, it's impossible to master Krigo without horning your breathing, your blood pressure is 170/90 mmhg, I am no doctor but that shows you are tensed and agitated, I wonder why take life so serious, it's not like you are getting out alive." "Who says I intend to get out of life," Zhangshun Shan smiled haughtily.  "I am going to live forever." "Enough of the self eulogy," Ken says waving his right arm dismissively.  "You are clueless to my next move and as a result, you are trying to have a conversation with me in order to watch for my body movements and facial expression hoping I would give you a clue to what I actually want to do," Ken held the flaps of his jacket tightly.  "I, Kenpachialaskxbskalsnaokapaabzusmsoanahakaoanagakakaiaavahajakzoak...  Criyops want to join your team." Zhangshun Shan and Ashley were shocked beyond words as they heard him say that, they didn't expect him to say anything on that note. "That's indeed a surprise," Ashley remarks. "Your heart rate just spiked up a bit," Ken grinned as he looked over at Zhangshun Shan's direction.  "I thought nothing was hidden from you and yet, the spiking in your heart just now is purely due to surprise, you sure everything is alright." "I intentionally let my heart spike like that, after all, a man of mystery is a dangerous force," Zhangshun Shan grinned whilst he thought.  "Damn, I really didn't expect him to say that, that was surprising even for me, he must have established a connection with someone who was dear to him whilst I stabbed him for him to have a change of heart and still be alive, it's what I experienced once while I was ten and for the numerous years that I viewed the lives of infidingro amount of creatures, I never once saw any one having a soul cry, from the time I learnt about my past incarnation, it came to my knowledge that the soul cry was possible due to my affiliation with the Jade Emperor, for Ken to have had a soul cry, he must be affiliated with either the gods or the Jade Emperor himself, I am going to have to find out." Zhangshun Shan put on his most haughty smile as he spoke.  "You are welcome to join my team but try and keep up, I have high standards." "Well then, it's settl..." "Wait," Ashley shouted still looking disapprovingly at Ken.  "I don't trust him, how about if this is a trap and he wants to use this to let our guard down so he can get the jump on us, we have to be cautious." "It's true o," Ken smiles at her, she returned his smile with a disgusted expression. "I could be trying to trick you," he turns towards Zhangshun Shan.  "What makes you think you can trust me?" "It wouldn't be gentlemanly thing to do if you try and trick us," Zhangshun Shan answered without missing a beat.  "Besides, Zhangshun Shan never makes mistakes, they are two words that should never be used in the same sentence." "I think you just did," Ken smiled slyly. "Let's not lose focus," Zhangshun Shan grinned as he quickly turned away from them.  "We are still at the starting line and I intend to finish this race with none before me at the finishing line." *********************************** A Middle-aged Caucasian man was smiling mischievously, he was ugly to say the least, his head was completely bald except the middle which had a small patch of hair on it, he had black souless eyes, a long round nose and tattered black lips and was dressed in blue silky robes, he was humping a naked younger woman who appeared to be around mid-twenties by her facial looks and body physique, she laid on the ground, her auburn-brown hair spread out, there were dried tears around her eyelids and her eyes were lifeless, based on the condition of her body, she was alive not too long ago. The man kept humping as hard as he can while squeezing her B-cup boobs as hard as he could with his two hands. Just then, two figures dashed past him, he could smell their scent, those two figures were definitely females. "From those smells," the man grinned as he stood up from the body he was humping, his genital was still erect and it's tip was soaked in semen.  "They are two fine ladies, one is about 30 years old and the other is roughly 27 years old, I can't wait to see the expressions of their faces when I kill them, uhhhhhhhhhhhh," he groaned pleasurably as his erect genital even grew longer.  "Just thinking about the pleasurable times I will have with their dead bodies even makes me happier."
