Morning after
Matilda Pov
I woke up struggling to peer my eyes open cause I stayed up late staring at screen. After I finally managed to get off bed,I reached for my drawer took out my spectacles and wore them. I have an eye problem that's why I own them but I'm way too proud to wear them each and every day of my life and I would get teased all day I only wear them when necessary. I brushed then headed downstairs, mom was frying eggs my dad was making tea. My mom glared at me when she finally acknowledged my presence
"Matilda I think it's time you wear your spectacles permanently now"
"I'm not blind mom my eyes just hurt and it's for today only"I reassured
"That's what you get for staying up late scrolling on your phone"my dad added
"I was researching about something"I explained.
"Hope it was school work"my dad said raising his brows
"Definitely not"I murmured under my breath
mom hit me with a cloth "I heard that,come help me "i handed her plates playfully
We had breakfast then I went up to shower and rushed downstairs again.
"You late?"she asked
"A little"I said giving her a kiss on the cheek "bye dad" I got to my car and drove off.
Daisy was the first person I noticed in class",damn it had it be her"I mumbled to myself as I was approaching her"hey Daisy can we talk"
"Okay" she got up and walked out of class, guess she didn't want people to hear us talking about it the class was crowded"okay go ahead"she said crossing her arms
"Uhm, about the scars I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable I shouldn't have asked it wasn't really my place to ask what you do with your body"
"no I'm sorry for running off like that without tutoring i hope I can make it up to you but I withdrew my voluntee I'll be no longer tutoring learners on detention hopefully there might be another learner interested in tutoring"she said with her eyes facing down.
"Why? is it because of me ?I'm sorry I saw the cuts "
she giggled a little before looking up to me"no it's not because of you,I don't think i can manage both my school work and tutoring anymore and you don't have to apologise for seeing my scars"she explained
"So that means you forgive me?"I asked smirking
"yeah"she turned back,I stopped her before she could walk away
"Uhm since you didn't tutor me and ran off like that there's something you can actually do to make it up for me"
"Which is?"she curiously asked
" I'm not gonna tell you now" I winked at her strolling back to class.
Candy teased me a little for wearing spectacles, like friends laugh at everything can someone really laugh at you for wearing spectacles?
After a couple of hours jailed in class we were finally released,we organised a meeting with our coach and the first practice was gonna be on Saturday
I didn't really tell Candy about the scars I saw on Daisy's arm yeah she's my best friend and all I tell her most of the stuff that happens in my life but some things are just not to be told.YOU DON'T POINT OUT SOMEONE'S SELF HARM SCARS !!
I glance around my classroom as we slowly head in with Candy
"looking for Daisy?"she asks sarcastically
"Of course not the bell hasn't rang yet so I'm looking for people who could possibly be interested in chilling with us"I reply
"You've been close to her lately"
"That's because she was tutoring me but not anymore"
"Why what happened?"she interrogated
"she withdrew her volunteer work"I sigh
"poor thing, you were starting to catch feelings"she says smirking
"I'm a lesbian but I don't fall for every girl" I reply rolling my eyes
"yeah Imma take that,you haven't been in love in a long time"
School was out I headed to Daisy's desk and placed a note on it I left without saying anything

Daisy Pov
I pick up the note which was left by Matilda and read it to myself

She left her number too. Elise Gave me a curious look
"what does it say?"
"She wants me to meet her at the park at 5 apparently I owe her a favour for not tutoring her yesterday"I reply burying my head in my open Note book
"So are you going?"she asks arching her eyebrow
"I don't know"
"Just go "she advises as she packs her books in her bag
I got home, cleaned. I clean everyday it's not really stuffy but mom doesn't even wanna see a tiny bit of dirt. I cooked supper I was gonna warm it later cause if I wanna go somewhere I have to leave the house sparkling clean and the kitchen smelling good .
I headed to my room took out the note Matilda left ,typed her numbers and hesitated a little to call her but I ended up pressing the call button, it rang for a second and it was picked.

I disconnected the call ,took out a jacket on my closet then headed downstairs I met with my mom
"Going somewhere?"she asked giving me a very scary look
"uhm I'm going at Elies's we have an assignment"I blurted out
"you cleaned?"she asked running her finger on glass table to see if it comes back with an dust"
"Yes mom"
"You cooked?"she asks giving me another look
"Yes I cooked"I reply back confidently
"You know when to come back"she says walking up the stairs
" Whoo" I sigh in relief finally leaving the house.
I texted Matilda when I got to the park

I turned to see if she was really there and to my surprise she was standing there with a glare
"ou you really here"I blurt out
"yeah, let's go sit there"she points a nearby bench
We headed there and sat apart from each other
"So why did you wanna meet me here?"I ask breaking the silence
"Cause I wanna get to know you"she answers
"Okay what do you wanna know about me Mati?"
"ohh you just called me Mati"she blushes uncontrollably she can't stop smiling
"Yeah is it wrong?"I ask
"No it's a special name only my dad calls me that,so you can call me too I don't mind"she says with a smile
"Okay then"
"Shall we take a walk?"
"Of course"she intertwined our hands as we were walking
What does it mean?
I tripped on a rock luckily she caught me before I slipped off I glanced at her intense brown eyes we were centimetres away from each other she looked beautiful that's one thing I noticed from her at that moment,her beauty.
"ouch"I whimpered
"You sprinkled an ankle?"she asked finally letting me go from her arms
"I think so"I replied limping
"I can take you home"she offered
"No I'll be fine"
"I insist"she insisted I couldn't say no she carried me to her car,must be strong I can't even carry 10kgs now how much more killos carrying a human. She's an athlete after all
She drove to my house stopped on the driveway "please call me if you don't feel well"she looked worried
"Hey I'll be fine"I said putting my thumb on her jawline caressing her soft skin, after realising what I was doing I immediately removed my hand embarrassed as hell
She didn't say anything she just kept staring at me intensely ,took my hand and kissed it at the back"you look beautiful"she complemented me leaving me flustered
"Uhm th..ank.....you"why am I even stuttering"I better go"I say leaving her car.
