Chapter One- Hollow
"Alexa, you failed."
Alexa just looked at the field in front of her, not paying attention to the person behind her. The field in front of her was covered in weapons. She was practising and was about to start training in hand to hand combat when the cold voice had stopped her. Putting her dark arms above her head, she continued like there was no one behind her.
"Alexa, I'm the elder of this clan and you better respect me," the old women said while putting her hand on the girl's shoulders. Turning the girl around dark grey eyes met dulling grey eyes. "You couldn't do one thing right. Your sisters and brother will be rolling around in their graves."
Alexa tensed at the mention of her passed siblings. It wasn't a secret in the Krystal clan that her family member's deaths were a sore spot for her, one elder Katherine Jada Krystal loved reminding her about. Katherine had been like this since peace was made, more so when the village was built.
"Alivia wanted you to protect our people. It was her last wish and look at us now," Katherine said while Alexa looked at her coffee coloured foot. "You're not going to be picked to lead this village. While our people don't mind following a women. White's won't be, not the Soren. We shouldn't have signed a peace treaty with them, what were you thinking? You won't be able to protect us, you're a failure of a leader, clan head and more important a failure a sister and a daughter."
Katherine's words burned more than acid that slightly burned her left hand. The cold reality of their situation was one that Alexa had noticed before, but her people wanted to stop the fighting, so she signed the treaty Asher proposed. However, it meant she was going against her little sister's wishes, but at the time she thought she was doing a good thing. Only she and the elder in front of her could see where this will end up.
The Soren would take over the village and the Krystal's would be lowered to slaves, left with nothing and pushed into the corner like an unwanted pet. She had tried to tell the others about her concerns, but they had stunned her, calling her a selfish leader who only wanted to go back to war. Katherine didn't feel guilty about what she was doing to the nineteen year old, in fact she was happy that she made the girl feel ashamed at her actions. She was only trying to make her a better warrior.
"It's a shame Bria and Alexander didn't teach you any better," Katherine added. She smiled as she saw the girl's inner turmoil and the stiffness in her shoulders. She only smiled in victor as she left, there wasn't anything else she could add. Not without driving the girl to the snapping point and she was too old to hold her own in a fight.
Once Katherine had left, Alexa's shoulders relaxed. She looked at the ruined field behind her and decided that she had enough training for the day. Packing away her weapons, she dusted off the dirt from her brown one shoulder cotton dress. Putting her bag over her shoulders, she looked at the field one more time before going back to the village.
It was peak hour when she walked through the wooden gates. Children were outside playing, adults were flirting and talking. The streets were full, the streets weren't finish, in fact most of the village was still being built, but homes and shops were done. It was only schools that really needed to be done. The village was in five parts. The centre was where the 'leaders' building would be, so anyone could assess it. North could be where clans would be housed, both warriors and civilians. East would be where warriors lived, near training areas to keep their skills up.
West would be for civilian clans, ones who pass down their trade through their children. South was for civilians, also the area for markets. There would be two different types of schools. One in the South and one in the North.
While Alexa was thinking about the simple stature of the village, she spaced out. Shown by the fact that she didn't notice two boys running towards her. She lost balance slightly, but the young boy wasn't as lucky landing on his bottom and looking at her with fear.
"Are you okay?" she asked the young boy while kneeling down to help him. He only looked at her with fear, just realising who he had ran into.
"It's Alexa Krystal, the bloody maiden," he yelled while his friend ran away. Quickly getting up and running after his friend. Alexa could only watch them ran away from her with a frown on her face, she liked children and would never hurt one, but someone must be spreading rumours about her. Sighing she just got up and went on her way.

Conner only looked at the desk. He knew they would need something to call his brother once he got leadership of the village. Alexa wasn't going to get, despite being the co-founder of their home. However, the room was already a mess, unsigned papers piled on the desk and he wondered how long it would take Asher to go through it all. Hell, it might even take Alexa awhile to go through them and she was the biggest workaholic he knew.
After getting the desk, somewhat tidy. The door opened and he turned to face the leader of their ex-enemies clan. The female about as happy as him about seeing each other, since she frowned looking around the room.
"Alexa, what business do you have here?" he asked sarcastically asked. He could see her angry and she glared at him.
"Where's Asher?" Alexa asked. She had to talk to him, not his younger brother.
"Here and there," Conner told her while putting another file in the 'in' situation. He wasn't put off by her attitude towards him. His voice was dripping in sarcasm and hers sounded like she was ready to snap.
In a few moments he took in her appearance, like he always did. Alexa's long hair went to the top of her bottom, the thick black tied in a low pony tail. Her skin was the colour of coffee beans, but it still held perfection and purity. Her lips were in a frown, one from annoyance. Conner wanted to do something about her dry dark red lips. Alexa was lean and skinny, she was short for a women her age.
His clan had given them cotton clothing, since before they mainly wore skins. Still it seemed Alexa wanted to stay with natural colours and the design of her people. Despite her angelic beauty, there was something that turned him off about her.
The brunette had to admit her beauty, but that was only her body. He never liked her personality, she was caught in her own hatred and in traditions passed down for generations. He wanted to see her skin have a slight reddish tone to it, her lips parted in moans and screams of pleasure. She was the one most stuck in old ways, while most of the others were more willing to meet half way. However, she was the perfect subject to study the Krystal's curse.
It seemed after her last sister had died, by his hand, she had lost the ability to love. Her hatred made it hard to reason with her, each day it was getting harder and harder to talk to her. It would continue until she did something to the newly built village.
The only way Conner knew to stop and end this was to make her submit, put her under his and his brother's rule. To put a clan into obedience, you must start with the leader. She would be the example, showing others what might happen if you rebelled against the better race.
"I don't need to explain myself to you," Alexa told him. She huffed and turned around heading for the door.
While Conner wasn't as fast as the girl in front of him, he was able to catch her off guard. Quickly and stealthy slamming her into the door, shutting it with the force of their bodies. Before Alexa was able to react, he had both her arms behind her back and he pushed his body against her, pinning her between the door and his body.
Alexa was starting to realise what was going on. She tried to pull her arms out of Conner's hold, but it only resulted in pale hands tightening around her wrist, twisting her arm almost popping out her shoulder joint. Alexa put her lip to stop the yell of pain, feeling the cold against her check and half of her body.
"Conner..." she growled, but he ignored her looking at her exposed neck. He could see half her face as it was pressed against the wall. "What are you d-"
Conner didn't let her finish her question bringing his face to her neck, where he bit her delicate skin roughly. Alexa's gasp sent shivers down his spine, making him bit harder. Quickly pulling both of her arms into one of his large hands the other went down her dress, feeling the softness that was her breast. He could feel the movements of her breathes and he smiled, when he felt they were slightly quicker than they were before.
Alexa bit her lips trying to compose herself, when he pinched her n*****s and then she fully understood what was actually going on. "Get off!" she warned, but she didn't sound as threatening as she wished. The hand roaming her chest, the lips on her neck and the forceful body against was making her body exited. Even through it made her sick to the stomach at the thought of the pale man touching her. She wasn't a w***e, especially to w*********h.
Her thoughts were forced to make of her head as she felt Conner's hand pull out of her dress, going up her neck to her hair. Pulling her hair tie from her hair racking his fingers through the thick locks. When the Alexa felt his hand on her hips, she panicked trying to get out of his hold and she was almost free before Conner pushed her into the door. However, when her panicked struggles didn't stop, he slammed her head into the thick wooden door.
Alexa's head was spinning and she lost her balance, if it wasn't for Conner she wouldn't fall to the floor. She could fall his breath on the top of her head.
Once Alexa stopped struggling, Conner continued, eager to get things moving along. Hiking up her dressed, he slipped his hand into her underwear, pushing his fingers into her womanhood. Alexa was having problems controlling her hormones. She might've been nineteen, but she was busy with other things to worry about anything s****l, so she didn't know what was going on. Even so, Alexa knew he was trying to make her submit to him, but she was helpless and couldn't make him stop.
By the shift in Alexa's attitude he had guessed that she knew what he was doing to her, so he was just going to cut to the chase. Throwing her to the wooden floor, where her head once again hit a hard surface. She only let tears flow down her checks as she knew she was going to be in pain and there was nothing she could do to stop it.
