CHAPTER EIGHT

Diana sighed and started "I returned to my human village last year but was met with the werewolf Lord, Kiron taking human slaves and wiping all who disobeyed. I got taken in as a slave and was sent to the werewolf territory. I did slave work while also planning an escape. After three months, I led the humans and escaped. But somehow, we ended up in Dragon territory. The rest of the humans were taken to the ice mountains and left there. Columbus found me interesting and took me as his future queen. I wanted to escape but he bound me with a necklace that shut my whole senses."

"Ice mountains? No human can survive that. Even we demons can't stand that cold." Venom pointed out and Michael agreed.

"True... It is also the home and territory of the ice elves. And they do not like sharing"

Damon squeezed Diana hands tightly.

"I'll beat Columbus and take you away from here".

"Thanks." She said and rested her head on his shoulders. He stiffened for a moment at her behavior before relaxing. He then signalled the rest out. Leaving both of them in their own space.

"You finally depend on him huh?"Lucian spoke in her head and Diana replied excited.

"You're alive"

"Of course. I'm the devil. It will take a lot more than shiny jewelry to cut me" he replied proudly. "Did you miss me?". Diana sighed internally.

"You haven't changed. I did miss you. After losing myself to that jewelry. I stopped hearing you and I became worried" she replied honestly.

Lucian laughed "Me too host. I missed teasing someone" he replied softly.

"And do you finally accept my son as your mate? Or are you planning on rejecting him?"

"Hmm.... He's okay. He saved me and I'm grateful for that. Your son is the best" she said and shifted a little closer to Damon.

"Please don't act lovey dovey. It doesn't suit you."he gagged which made her smile softly. "And also, don't go outside tonight. It dangerous "

"Why? Is something wrong?."she asked worried.

"Tonight is the red moon. It comes once in a decade, it also strengths demons. It's like a celebration of power......."he said with a warning tone.

"And?"she inquired further.

"I may take over your body tonight. It will allow me to break through your consciousness and take over your physical body."he said making her shocked. "So do not go under the red moon." He warned again.

"But your son is battling with Columbus tonight and I have to be there."she said and Lucian cursed.

"Shit.. it can't be possible. I can't stop the process, maybe you can...."he was cut off by Damon's voice.

"My love. Are you okay?, your heart is beating faster than normal" Damon asked softly as he caress her cheek.

"I'm fine"she replied and rested her head on his chest.

"Can I ask you something?"she started.

"Sure. Anything."he replied as he leaned down to gently kiss her cheek.

"Will you win tonight?"she asked softly.

"I know I'll win. For you and also, tonight is the red moon. It's like an enhancement for demons. It will make me strong enough to beat that arrogant dragon."he assured as he gently carried her to his lap and kissed her neck.

She wrap her arms around his neck and pressed closer. He put an arm around her waist and held her there, savoring the sweet moment alone. For a moment,she enjoyed the feeling.

"Did you forget about me?"Lucian called her, distracting her from her sweet moment.

"What?"she replied lazily.

"How about the red moon?"he asked.

"Can't you slow it? Aren't you the devil?"she teased,making him scoff.

"Don't use my words against me and I can but it won't last long. Stay under a shade until it passes"he said and she nodded as she snuggle against Damon's broad chest.

"This is so weird. I'm not watching this. Bye and remember my warning"Lucian left her sea of thought.

Diana enjoyed the moment and eventually slept in Damon's arms. She was later woken up to the sound of Damon's kisses on her neck and cheek.

"Wake up my love. It's time for the duel." He said in a deep,sexy voice that made her hazy and mesmerized.

"Is it midnight already?"she asked, shocked by how deep and long she slept.

"Yes,let's go. It's time for you to see just how powerful your mate is" he boasted, making her chuckle softly.
