The rest of the week passed pretty quickly. Phil really did seem to be making an effort. He would text or call during the day just to say “hey” or to see how my day was going. Every night it was something new. Fun dates on the town, home cooked dinners, massages, flowers. It was everything I wanted, everything I had envied about Steph and Wyatt.
I thought about Colton from time to time and wondered if I should call and tell him that I chose Phil but after I didn’t hear from him for a couple of days, I assumed he either figured it out or wasn’t really interested.
Steph and Wyatt came back from their honeymoon Monday night. I left her a message that I wanted to get together for lunch on Tuesday. I told her to meet me at the Chili’s on West End at 12:30.
