Chapter 1

Evangeline's pov

I wake to my alarm going off and sigh. It's my first day at my new college. I feed my bunny Cooper, who has light brown, white and grey fur and give him new water.

I get dressed in a white cropped t shirt with a white zip up jacket, with a blue tight skirt and knee high white socks with white shoes

I leave my blonde hair how it is seeing as it's not frizzy or anything. I grab my bag and head out to where my fathers eating a full breakfast. I grab the nutrients bar that I'm allowed to eat. Gluttony is a sin and id rather not get lashes for ending up being over his acceptable 115 pounds. He harshly grabs my hands "now you already know Evangeline that we pray" I nod "yes father"

He spews a prayer that I don't really pay attention to and mutter "amen" I eat quickly and grab my bag and as I go to leave he grabs my arm harshly "stay the hell away from boys ya hear me. Can't have you tainted when I give you to your husband" I don't want to marry a man I don't know. I want to love and be loved in return. "Do you understand me?" He growls his nails digging into my wrist and I nod "yes father" wincing. He lets me go "have a good day Evangeline" and I rush out the house
