Murder scene

we finally made it to the first crime scene.

as soon as we stepped foot there I felt like I had just stepped into an icebox, almost as if the area had been trapped in a glass container and shoved into a freezer. we decided that probably wasn't the best place to look around for clues so we all went in different directions and agreed not to go too far just in case whatever committed this crime was still somewhere around the area. max went to the left, Gavin went right and I went straight. the lingering smell of blood had filled my nostrils as I walked through the forest, it was a terrible rotten smell that made me want to puke, sadly all the other smells in the area were normal. the smell of pine trees, grass and animals was all I could pick up it was like whatever did this had no scent at all, or a scent I couldn't pick up. just then I saw a small white object on the ground, I walked towards it put on a glove that I had in my pocket and picked it up. it was a tooth, a sharp tooth with dried blood on it, being a werewolf really helps to some extent if I were human I probably wouldn't have seen it. I started walking back towards the crime scene, max and Gavin were already waiting for me. I instantly asked if they had found anything, max looked at me with fear in her eyes and pulled out a bag with a few fingers in it, it looked like one had been eaten half way. Gavin pulled out a gold bracelet with some writing on it saying three bunnies one frog.

"what the hell does three bunnies one frog mean" I asked.

Gavin shrugged and handed me the bracelet. "I don't know, maybe it's a secret message or something. you figure it out since you wanted to do this stupid investigation"

I looked at him, my annoyance was clear as day considering I don't hide my feelings very well. max handed me the bag of fingers that someone was obviously saving for a snack and turned around without saying a word, we headed back to me and max's dorm and put away the evidence we found.

we were one step closer to figuring out who murdered those people. after that investigation we were all too grossed out to eat anything so we decided to plan where we would go next. even though we just started investigating I could feel that the murderer was so close to being caught by us, justice was just out of reach and I know it'll be so sweet when we get it.

The next day we had class again, me and max sat in the back of the class, Gavin had a different class so we all decided to meet up for lunch to discuss everything. I'm not completely sure what to do next, I know I'm the one that started this whole investigation in the first place but f*****g hell it's my first one and it's hard to find a killer when they have no scent. we have nothing but a bracelet, some half eaten fingers and a bloody tooth. we could take the tooth to a lab and see who it belongs to but we don't have access to the things we need right now. this is such a stressful situation, what am I gonna do- "eve! are you paying attention?" professor Lucas asked while hitting my desk with a ruler breaking me out of my daze, I don't particularly like him. he's not a bad teacher it's just that he's actually a vampire, somehow no one else figured it out. I smelled him as soon as I stepped foot into this damn classroom, we are forced to co-exist sadly. I have a sneaking suspicion that he's the one that killed those poor people. "yes sir"

he arched his brow at me and asked

"then what's the answer to the question"

stupid vampire scum just had to try and call my bluff. luckily as soon as he said that one of my packmates mind linked to me.

"the question was literally what did we do in our free time yesterday, he's f*****g with you"

I instantly smirked. "well the answer to your question is, I went hunting with a few friends"

I obviously couldn't tell him what I was truly doing, I mean he's a vampire for God sake he would just flee if I tell him. after my response he frowned and turned around, walking back to the front of the classroom he mumbled just low enough to where everyone else couldn't hear it, "good job.. mutt" that made my face turn red with anger but I refused to show it. at least I know where to investigate next, none other than the bloodsucker himself, I started on my class word and waited until class was over so me and max could finally meet up with Gavin. I hope this next plan goes well...
