LUCAS
it's getting late, I should have been home by now but I decided to stay in the office a bit longer today. Gavin hasn't been in class for almost a week now, it's been driving me crazy so I've thrown myself into my work. I keep telling myself that he's just a student and nothing more but I know that's a lie. he's more then just a student, I overheard two of my students talking about the murders that have been happening near the campus. I decided to look into it more, i opened my laptop and started searching for information on the murder. turns out the police think it's a vampire doing the killings, it makes no sense that my own kind would do such a thing considering we have a pact with other species to only drink animal blood. at this point I was starting to get worried and went down a rabbit hole, the names of the victims were disclosed so I clicked on the page. obviously I was making sure Gavin's name wasn't there I didn't know if I could take it if it was, my eyes scanned over all the names but not one of those names were his. I recalled hearing the students talk about investigating and now that I think about it they haven't been in class much either, at that moment I realized that Gavin was probably investigating if not with them then by himself and that made my blood boil. how could he do something so dangerous. I closed my laptop, gathered my things and left the office heading straight for Gavin's dorm. I knocked on his door about 3 times before he opened it.
GAVIN
"sir what are you doing here" I asked professor Lucas
"Gavin we need to talk. now. can I please come in?"
I nodded my head and stepped aside, since I didn't have a roommate and my friends weren't over I let him in. "what do we need to talk about sir?" he had an odd look on his face, I couldn't quite tell what was going on with him.
"why haven't you been in class recently" he asked, his voice low and husky. I could hear a hint of anger in his tone, it almost sounded dangerous. "I uhm.." I couldn't speak properly, it was like my body was frozen. not from fear but from something else, he walked over to me and stared directly into my eyes.
"there's no use in trying to lie, I know what you've been up to Gavin. how could you do something to dangerous, so stupid?"
I still couldn't get anything out, I just stood there. frozen.
"you will be in class tomorrow, and you will stop investigating that crime. do I make myself clear?"
all I could do was nod, and then he kissed me. not a regular kiss either, it was laced with something possessive. something so captivating I thought I would melt, my body was moving on its own as I leaned into the kiss my lips molding onto his and soon, it was over. he smirked at me, I swear I could see something that looked like a fang before he turned and left out of my dorm leaving me standing there breathless. my thoughts were going crazy, I just wanted to sleep and try to forget everything that had just happened. I was getting a headache trying to understand it all. I quickly changed clothes and layed on my bed, closing my eyes I slowly drifted off to sleep.
