Chapter 52: Apology
(Eden's POV)
I crossed my arms, eyebrows raising. "Cut the act, Victoria. Marcus might’ve been insane, but he was thorough. He left behind plenty of proof."
Her movements stilled. She placed the fabric down carefully, her smile faltering. "Proof? I don’t understand what you’re implying…"
"Lies aren’t your strong suit," I cut her off, stepping closer. My legs protested the movement, but I pressed forward. My voice dropped dangerously low. "Alexander has evidence showing your little collaboration with Marcus. Your schemes. Your plans to remove me. All of it."
Her face paled for a fraction of a second before she recovered, plastering on a strained smile. "That’s ridiculous. Marcus was unhinged. Whatever he told you—"
"Was sent directly to Alexander," I interrup
