Marcus stormed out, his footsteps echoing with anger. The heavy doors slammed shut behind him, his rage lingering like a bad scent in the room.
Inside, Alexander stood near his desk, fists still clenched. His shoulders were stiff, his breathing uneven. Each breath came harshly, and his knuckles were white from the force of his grip on the desk’s edge.
