Chapter 21: Eden Mattered More (Alexander’s POV) I stormed down the hallway of the Pack’s medical wing, Victoria weakly clutching my arm, her steps deliberately slower than necessary. Her frail sighs echoed in the sterile corridor, each one tailored to elicit sympathy. My wolf growled faintly in the back of my mind, agitated and restless. “Alexander,” she murmured, voice trembling. “I don’t think I can—” “You’ll be fine,” I replied curtly, my tone colder than usual, cutting off her performance before it could begin. Her fragile beauty always held the power to sway others, but it was starting to lose its effect on me. Dr. Morrison was already waiting by the door to the examination room. He gave me a knowing glance as I helped Victoria into the chair near the center of the room.
