(Alexander's POV)
Eden’s hand slipped from my wrist, her movements firm, deliberate. She turned toward Dr. Morrison without even a glance back at me.
“I don’t need you monitoring my treatment, Alexander,” she said again, her tone cold, distant, like a barrier I wasn’t allowed to breach.
I didn’t respond. I couldn’t. My hand fell limp at my side as I watched her walk through the door of the treatment room, shutting it behind her with quiet finality.
