The cool, crisp air of the neutral territory kissed my cheeks as I stepped onto the festival grounds. Strings of glowing lanterns floated above us, their golden light casting a magical hue over the gathering wolves. Laughter and chatter filled the space, blending with the faint hum of music as the moon’s glow bathed the open field.
Ruby walked beside me, her fiery red hair catching the light, a sharp contrast to her black designer dress. She carried herself like royalty, commanding attention not out of duty but because she simply demanded it.
