“He kissed you?!”
Lucas blurted out loudly on the phone as Kennedy tells him about what happened earlier.
“Not so loud! What if someone hears you?” she scolded.
He only scoffed at her.
“Please. I can talk as loudly as I want to. Nobody’s here. It’s just me in the house right now. And so what if someone heard? It’s not exactly a scandal that a man kissed you, who, might I add, is the man you’re gonna be marrying in a couple of months.”
He had a point there. Now, she can’t complain.
“Whatever. I’m still just trying to wrap my head around it. I was weirded out but at the same time, I sort of just went with it? I don’t know. It might be the attraction talking.”
